Here are two examples of how the rosettes change over time. When the kittens are born, most rosettes will look like solid spots. Over the first few weeks, the spots begin to open up and develop an outline with a lighter color in the center. Our breeding program focuses on a complete package of having  a very distinct pattern on a clear background along with strong structure. When you see our cats from across the room, you will know immediately that they are Bengals. There are several domestic breeds of spotted cats, but the Bengal is the only rosetted one.
